Take a trip down memory lane!
Camelot Stud was formed in 2005 by Paul & Debbie Davidson. Their passion for horses is shared with their sons, Brade, Hayden & Hugh. Both Paul & Debbie have been involved in competitive horse sports since a young age.
Paul competed in his first Sydney Royal at the age of 7 & continued to exhibit at Sydney until he was 21, when he had a break from the sport. His achievements include winning his Riding and Equipment Class at Sydney Royal on several occasions and also winning several National Dressage Titles. In his early days, he was trained by Australian Olympic Coach Franz Maringer and National Dressage Judge Joy Charlton. During his break from horses, Paul took up the sport of Triathlon where he represented Australia.
Debbie has had a diverse background with horses starting with Pony Club, through to competing in the Tom Quilty Endurance Events, through to campaigning her late father, Norman Clout's Hackney Horses.
Both Paul & Debbie returned to riding in 2000 when the boys had the urge to learn to ride. They made the decision that the Australian Stock Horse Society and the events that were held offered a complete family package.
Today they are prominent competitors on the Show Circuit, with the highlight in 2008 of winning the Supreme Champion Stock Horse at Sydney Royal with Gatton Starlight (pictured). They pride themselves on campaigning immaculately presented horses for Sale or Show that have the potential to win.
Paul's real job is the owner of a group of Fitness & Aquatic Clubs called Fitness Perfection. He is a qualified Master Personal Trainer (Cert IV) and Strength & Conditioning coach. He specializes in conditioning and rehabilitation programs for all sports. He is available to assist you with your needs to improve your performance as a rider.
